Sheila Funnell is the Head of Innovation and Impact at the Wyss Academy's Hub East Africa. Before joining the Wyss Academy for Nature in 2022, she worked in the northern Kenya landscape for 10 years, and in Madagascar prior to that. With an educational background in BSc Conservation Biology and MSc Taxonomy, her applied background focuses on empowering people to conserve and coexist with the natural world by giving people opportunities to contribute, and adapt, to a changing environment in a way that secures the future for the resources they rely on and value.
