Head of Engagement

Michael Victor is the Head of Engagement at the Wyss Academy. He leads four competence areas (Policy, Private Sector Engagement, Corporate Communications, and New Technologies for Nature and People (ICT4N)) to support delivery across our four regional hubs. Michael has more than 30 years of experience working at the nexus of science, development, and innovation in agriculture and natural resource management. His expertise has focused on policy engagement, strategic communication, knowledge sharing and co-designing and leading multi-stakeholder platforms. He has worked at all levels of development, national and global levels particularly in Asia (Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Nepal) and Africa (Kenya and Ethiopia). He has previously worked with the Center for People and Forests (RECOFTC), International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD), International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), International Water Management Institute (IWMI), Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC) and the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida) and USAID.
