On September 25, we renewed our commitment to implementing the 2030 Agenda in Bern. From protecting the environment and reducing social inequalities to building a sustainable circular economy—these goals concern us all.

Switzerland has made progress in recent years in certain areas, such as increasing the share of organic farming and expanding renewable energy. However, in other areas, development has stalled or even taken a step backward: Poverty and inequalities in Switzerland are rising, the expansion of barrier-free mobility is delayed, and biodiversity continues to decline. Moreover, our production and consumption patterns shift part of the environmental, climate, and human rights burden abroad.

Together, we are committed to closing the gap and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
