Dr. Pablo Negret Torres

Dr. Pablo Negret Torres's work focuses on ecology, biogeography and landscape scale conservation. He holds a master’s degree in evolutionary ecology from Los Andes University, Colombia and a PhD from The University of Queensland. Throughout his research career, he has used ecological and biogeographical information to answer diverse research questions and conservation challenges. From understanding the ecology and extinction risk of species at local and national scales, to assessing the impact of human pressure in protected areas at national and global scales. Another research topic he is interested in is land cover change; particularly understanding the drivers behind forest loss.
