Philemon Kimosop

Philemon Kosgei joins the Wyss Academy for Nature’s Hub East Africa as Entrepreneurship and Private Sector Development Officer. His key responsibilities are to establish and maintain linkages with research institutions, academia, and entrepreneurial organizations in Kenya; promote product development; support the design and implementation of business models; establish and champion social enterprise; and foster a culture of innovation.

He brings vast experience in financial inclusion and market system development with him, having worked in the banking sector and with international NGOs supporting natural resource-based value chains. Philemon’s focus is on product development of nature-based value chains such as honey, gum and resins, fodder, moringa, aloe vera and the livestock market system. He has an academic background in Environmental Studies, with a focus on community development.
