Seta Thakur

Seta Thakur is Head of Communications and Social Innovation at the Wyss Academy for Nature. Previously, she was responsible for media- and public relations at the Schauspielhaus Zurich. She has held various leading positions in the fields of communication and sustainability: including as managing director of the Swiss Business Council for Sustainable Development (öbu), and as head of communications at NZZ Group and at Weleda, where she was also co-head of sustainability. At the cement company Holcim, Seta worked in the sustainability communications team on group level. Prior to that, she led the media relations team of HEKS (Swiss Interchurch Aid) for nine years. She began her communications career as a freelance journalist. Seta studied German language and literature, as well as general, economic and social history at the University of Zurich. She holds an Executive MBA from the University of St. Gallen (HSG). Seta is a member of the board of directors of claro fairtrade AG.
