Transdisciplinary Research Coordinator
A seasoned environmental and human development professional, Jürg Staudenmann plays a pivotal role in coordinating and promoting transdisciplinary research at the Wyss Academy. With over 25 years of international exposure in applied environmental research, engineering and multilateral cooperation, he specializes in climate justice, transboundary water and democratic governance, poverty alleviation, and political dialogue and advocacy. He held senior positions at the UN Development Programme in Palestine, New York, and Eastern Europe, broadening his competencies in diplomacy, programme and knowledge management, monitoring, evaluation, and strategic communication. Prior to an expert assignment in support of SIPRI’s peace and environmental security research, he spearheaded the climate policy portfolio at Alliance Sud.
