Renzo De la Peña

Programme Manager, Hub South America

Renzo De la Peña is the Program Manager of the Wyss Academy's Hub South America, leading the implementation of all activities in the Madre de Dios region. With background in Biology, he holds a master's degree in Forestry Science and Ecology at the University of Göttingen and a specialization in Entrepreneurship by Stanford University. His extensive professional background within the forest sector includes forest certifications, designing and carrying out projects within the Clean Development Mechanism, creating management models for bioenergy using waste from forestry operations, utilizing innovation and technology in various Amazon value chains, and helping local business owners turn their ideas into profitable ventures. Furthermore, Renzo currently serves as an Advisor at the Universidad Científica del Sur, providing guidance for research projects concerning the Amazon region.
