Dr. Inne Vanderkelen

Postdoctoral Researcher, Climate Scenarios for Sustainable Development

Dr. Inne Vanderkelen is a postdoctoral climate researcher studying water availability and scarcity in a changing climate. Her research interests center around the intersection of climate modelling, extreme events, climate change impacts, water resources, adaptation and nature-based solutions. Trained as a geographer at KU Leuven and with a PhD in Climate Science from the Vrije Universiteit Brussels, she uses climate models to unravel the climate change impact on water resources and availability, and whether nature-based approaches can be used to restore the water balance. Next to the Wyss Academy for Nature, she is also affiliated to the Climate and Environmental Physics division at the Physics Department and the Oeschger Center for Climate Change Research, both at the University of Bern.
